people from going to Church? No more petroleum for our cars by 2018?
Should we start buying storage tanks now and start filling them to prepare for this disaster?
In July of 2008 Al Gore made his case for eliminating petroleum from the United States economy by the year 2018. Is his goal too ambitious?
A lot can happen in 10 years, but that might be a bit too ambitious. But I hope we can achieve this, oil is fast becoming a major liability.

Alternate fuel technology exists and is becoming more viable and efficient almost by the day.
Failing to work towards eliminating petroluem based cars would be stupid to the point of suicidal for humanity.
You could always walk to church. Ride a bike. Ride a horse. Skateboard. Scooter. Why do you need to drive everywhere?
Better yet, isn't god supposed to be everywhere anyway? why not just pray at home? Listen to a radio broadcast of a sermon, say a few prayers… why do you need a specific place to go talk to god?

It won’t be absolute it will be more on the antique side. It’s not a conspiracy to prevent church attendance, that would also fall into work attendance.
A new breed of cars are coming- using electricity, air even water. Many Gas Stations will be force to close - not enough selling but there will always be gas

I dont get teh reationship betweem imminating petrolium and not going to chruch. I live only acouple of blocks frm my parish. Usualy parishes are placed in that fashion?
